Flemming Busk is a talented and experienced Danish designer with a master in architecture and design. He strives to design furniture that suits human needs and gives life to the spaces where it is used - in terms of aesthetics and functionality. Busk is now part of the design duo busk+hertzog.
He graduated from the School of Architecture (AAA), Aarhus, Denmark with speciality in furniture design and interior architecture. Very fast, he was considered as one of the talented newcomers in Danish furniture design. His daybed Ziggi was in May 2001 elected by The Danish Furniture Manufactures for a special exhibition at the Scandinavian Furniture Fair, Copenhagen showing outstanding Danish furnitures released that year.
His designs are characterized by clean lines and a simple expression often with no kind of decorations. Whenever decorations find their way to his designs, they serve a function and are seen as an integrated part of the furniture. Flemming gets his inspiration from shapes and lines found in the nature. The horizontal and vertical lines combined with geometric shapes are his favourite design ingredients.
