Built and reconfigure
Designed by Snøhetta
Concept description Every so often a new piece of furniture is created, adhering to principles of classic space-defining, yet delivering something bold and unconfined. Norwegian designers at Snøhetta have achieved just that, introducing Summit — a multi-level, modular, seat —as a response to Danish design brand +Halle’s second Annual Briefing on the theme of sharing. The system is combined with magnets which allows for easy horisontal reconfigurations.
5 modules (well, 15 to be honest)
A system of five distinct modules that can be stacked up to three levels high, creating fifteen spatial building blocks for seating, zoning and landscape formation.
Magnetic assembly, effortless reconfiguration
Integrated hidden magnets in the lower modules allow each element to connect securely and intuitively — making assembly fast, clean and tool-free.
Endless configurations for evolving spaces
From linear benches to tiered seating landscapes, the modular system can be continuously reshaped (only horizontally) to suit changing settings, functions, and interactions.
“When prototyping and testing Summit with our architect colleagues, the forms worked intuitively. We deliberately avoided any rules, emphasising creativity and the immediate play that occurred, proved a good dose of natural immersion.”

Built for people
Summit offers an integrated power plug solution available for all markets around the world. Summit is versatile enough to allow any entry point, creating an inviting seating set up for the gathering of people. Helped by the many modules, creating a perfect place to share is a comfortable experience, naturally playful and fun.
